Mitsubishi fares poorly on J.D. Powers new cars ratings
Eight 2003 model cars were evaluated on 9 attributes and with a few exceptions, all autos received either "does not really stand out" to "the rest" - the bottom two Power's ratings. (Top two are - "Among the Best" and "Better than Most.")
Summary of Auto Ratings
Among auto models, 2003 Galant scoring 6 "The Rest" and 3 "Does Not Really Stand Out" and 2003 Montero Sport scoring 7 "The Rest", 1 "Does Not Really Stand Out" and 1 "Better than Most" were the worst two performers in general.
STYLE fared the worst, scoring 5 "The Rest" and 3 "Does Not Really Stand Out." Performance was 4 and 4.
Of all the 8 autos and 9 quality attributes, there was only one car-quality-attribute combination that scored as among the best. Mechanical Quality and Feature and Accessory had a few Better than Most ratings, but all the other attributes (7 in all) had only one combination as better than most while the other 55 combinations (eight (autos) multiplied by 9 (ratings) - 1) has ratings of Does Not Really Stand Out and The Rest.
